Yesterday
I watched the movie “The Imitation Game” that tells the story of “Alan Turing”,
the man who solved the German Enigma at world war two. Besides it is a great
historical movie it lights other important issue. Turing was gay and after the war,
was accused by having relations with other man, which was forbidden at the
time. The country gave him two option:
two years in jail or chemical castration treatment. Turing chose the second
option and the movie shows that the man who saved the lives of more than 14
million people loses his memory and some physical capabilities. I was surprised
that not so long ago people like me were criminals. I am so happy that I live
in such better times, but when I look at nonwestern countries, I understand
that the struggle have not yet done.
